Artist Statement

Down the Rabbit Hole
My artistic practice is a space for restoring inner freedom. I explore how a person reclaims the right to be alive: to feel in their own way, to desire truthfully, to live from within rather than according to a prescribed form. I try to find this everywhere around me and reflect it in my work.

It matters to me to observe how other people’s voices accumulate inside us: those of family, culture, religion, ideology, and the language of “rightness” and “goodness.” Sometimes these voices sound caring, but gradually they turn into a mode of existence where life becomes a function. Sometimes this voice becomes our own: strict and controlling, not allowing the inner child to emerge.

In my work, I search for a state of authenticity: the moment when what is imposed dissolves and clarity appears. I’m not interested in struggle, but in recognition the ability to distinguish between habit and self, between role and presence, between safety and freedom.
